Launch your website with our Managed Cloud servers
Recently we introduced a couple of new products to help our customers get the full “Managed by Sysbee” experience. We’re very excited to tell you more about the products themselves, some use cases and what you’ll get if you choose us.

Cloud servers by Sysbee
Managed Cloud Servers
We offer two different classes of Cloud Servers under our management.
Lite servers are general purpose VPSs with shared CPUs. This means that the CPU you get are shared with other servers hosted on the same hardware. This makes this kind of VPS cheaper, but it comes at the cost of performance. When server performance is not a priority, Lite servers are a good choice.
Pro servers are a different story.
With Pro servers, you get your own dedicated CPUs (you don’t share it with other VPS hosted on the same hypervisor). Pro servers also come with more memory than their Lite counterparts. When performance is non-negotiable Pro servers are the way to go.
Magento Optimized Cloud
Built upon the Pro server package, Magento Optimized servers come pre-built with everything your webshop needs to run smoothly. You’ll get your classic LAMP stack with Varnish and Redis for caching, Elasticsearch search engine and RabbitMQ message broker. The best thing is, you don’t need to worry about any of the services, we take care of and proactively monitor and optimize every component of your system to get you top performance.
WordPress Optimized Cloud
Powered by Pro servers, WordPress optimized servers provide everything you need for a worry-free WordPress experience. We’ll tweak and optimize the LAMP stack to squeeze out the best possible performance from your server and help you integrate your website with Varnish for that extra speed boost you didn’t even know you need.
What can you expect from our Managed Cloud Servers
We take security and business continuity very seriously, to quote a long term client of ours:
They treat our business as if it was their own.
That’s why all our cloud servers are protected against volumetric DDoS attacks on network level. We also actively monitor for new threats and proactively mitigate them (think Slowloris, HTTP/2 rapid reset, Log4j and all that nasty stuff).
We take care that the underlying system is up to date with the latest kernel patches without the need to reboot the server.
Our configuration management and automation systems make sure that all the key components of your system are properly set up and up to date with the industry best practices.
Your data will also be safe, secure and regularly backed up. Backups are encrypted in transit and at rest and distributed across multiple EU-based regions. Backups are daily and do not impact your server performance. We keep 14 daily and 8 bi-weekly restore points and are able to restore full or partial content.
Fingers crossed that you don’t need it, but if you do, you can rely on us. 😉
Monitoring and alerting are a core part of our job. We use all the available server and service metrics to keep an eye on the health of your environment and have alerts set up that will notify us when something is fishy.
Most of the time this allows us to react even before the problems are noticeable to your end users and your business starts suffering.
I’ll take this opportunity to let you know that, you yourself can also use the same tools and techniques we employ, check out our Explorer monitoring offer.
All of this comes at no extra cost and is part of our standard offer.
Some extra juicy stuff
If you checked out our offers, you probably noticed that you get 1 admin hour included in all the packages. This is for you to use for any request you might have for us, be it helping you debug some problem you’re having, setting up something extra, consulting with us about a problem you’re facing or if you just want to check out how we’re doing (this won’t be taken out of your time budget, we appreciate it).
Our system engineers are your first line of support and you can count on a fast and actionable response from us.
With over 15 years of experience in the web hosting business, we have countless debugging sessions and weird issues under our fingertips. All this knowledge and experience are at your disposal.
The admin hour budget is cumulative, which means that for every cloud server you have with us you’ll get an extra support hour.
You can use the hours in your budget as you wish they are not tied on a specific server.
Use-cases and a bit of napkin math
We’re about to dive a bit deeper in the technicalities and check out some possible use-cases you might have and how could you estimate the right size of server.
Please, do note that we’re talking about very rough estimates here, but it’s a good starting point.
WordPress site
Say you wish to host a WordPress site about fruit jokes. You have a great comedic mind and find apples hilarious.
Some market research you did, says that you can expect around 5,000 unique visits a day. You decide to go with a WordPress optimized server (berry good choice), but you don’t know which size is right for you.
We’ll help you get the site up and running, set up an appropriate caching system to prevent unnecessary use of CPU cycles, some tweaks here and there on the database for faster query execution. Proper routing of static assets is setup to not cause unneeded load on your machine.
The estimate is that for every visit, there are approximately 3 hits on non-cached resources. On 5,000 daily visits that would be around 15,000 requests where the CPU needs to do some work.
Assuming that most of the requests come in a 16 h period (57,600 seconds) that would be a rate of cca 0,3 req/s.
If 1 CPU can handle 1 req/s (it’s most likely more than that, but let’s keep it simple for the purpose of this thought experiment ), 2 CPU ought to be more than enough to handle this kind of traffic and have some space for that unexpected traffic spike or some heavier admin action. So wp.c1.small should be good enough for your use-case.
Magento Store
Your fruit jokes site is a great success and you managed to get a large visitor pool.
You figure that if someone enjoys fruit jokes, they sure enjoy some fresh fruit as well. This is the perfect opportunity for you to expand your business endeavor and start selling apples online.
You do some research about how to sell stuff online and quickly end up finding out that Magento is the most popular e-commerce system on the market.
Lucky for you, the same team that helped you get your initial online success, can also help you with Magento. How about that.
In Magento’s case the situation is a bit more complicated. Performance depends on a variety of factors, such as the number of products, number of categories, number of registered users and so on.
There are around 2000 different types of fruits which each include a lot of variety among them, so let’s say your shop provides around 5000 different products divided in 50 different categories.
From quite a bit of experience and some stress testing of Magento we managed to estimated that for an optimized and properly cached Magento website the magento.c1.large would be appropriately sized for this situation.
You can rely on us
Your jokes are killing, your sales are skyrocketing, good job. You’ve built a big community of fruit aficionados and you wish to keep close ties with this community.
You figure it might be a good idea to have a way to interact with your people. After looking online for some solution, you stumble upon Discourse, a platform that seems perfect for your needs.
Well, it turns out that we’re very experienced in hosting all kinds of stuff, so you can rely on us to be your partner in this endeavor too.
We take a look at the official Discourse requirements: 1 CPU (preferably 2), 1 GB of RAM, 10 GB disk.
You figure this service is not something that needs to have that extra performance boost, so we might go with vps.g1.small to save some money. We provide you with the server, setup docker, get all the containers up and running, make sure that everything is configured in a safe and sensible manner and off you go.
You might even want to handle all these things yourself. No worries, you can run your own docker containers and we’ll be more than happy to help you overcome any problem you might be having.
