Infobip Shift Conference 2022
Behind us are two amazing days of learning, networking and partying! We learned concrete tips from frontend and backend developers on how to achieve the results we want. We expected nothing less from the Infobip Shift conference.
Let’s remember, Shift is the largest developer event in Southeast Europe that gathers the global tech community; developers, software engineers, founders, startups, and other IT professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world. The conference was held in Zadar, in Višnjik sports center, which, with its domed shape, is a recognizable Zadar landmark.
Lecture stages of Infobip Shift
Like last year, Shift conferences fascinated us with excellent organization, useful lectures, great networking, workshops and panels discussion. The lecturers were from all over the world with interesting topics and great experience, from startups to developers. Lectures were different so they were held on several stages: Main stage, DevEx, Web, Tooling, Cloud Native, Web3 and StartUp. Unfortunately, we were not able to listen to all the lectures. The ones we did listen to, we have only words of praise. For example, lectures by Kent C. Dodds, Kitze, Darcy Clarke, Hila Fish, Wojtek Gawronski, and many others. Some of them stood out with excellent tactics, exercise before the lecture because, as they say, you need to prepare for learning (or lunch, we’re not sure what exactly they meant ?♂️).
Expo and Networking Area at Infobip Shift
In the Expo area, we get to know several brands and visitors from all over the world, who they are and where they come from. And they are really from all over the world: for example, from Israel, California, Canada, Germany and Croatia of course. Some of them are NGINX, Docker, VMware, Rapyd, EPAM, Porsche Digital and others. The Networking area was also interesting and some exhibitors caught our eye. For example, Orqa, CircuitMess, Miret (Award-winning 97% natural sneakers and they look great), Croatian Startup Ecosystem, WeAreDevelopers, and many others. There was also excellent networking in the garden area. We talked with colleagues from the IT industry and learned about their programs and projects, wishes and needs in the IT industry. We could also ‘drive a Porsche’ (a video game) and really drive a Porsche, play basketball or play various video games.
At the end of the day, there was a party where we could share our experiences with colleagues over a beer and good music. The pictures from the party are blurry, but trust us, it was great. ?
And when we’re in Zadar, we couldn’t help but go and see the famous Kalelarga street, the Church of St. Donat and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, have a drink by the Sea Organ with the wonderful The Greeting to the Sun.
We are glad that we were part of the largest developer conference in Southeast Europe, Infobip Shift.
